My condolences to Barb and the whole family. I've enjoyed reading Rich's posts over the few years I've been here; he was instrumental in helping me to transition to cooking on gas during that part of the year (right now) when charcoal burning is prohibited.
So, so sorry to hear this news. I always enjoyed Rich’s posts, his insight, his musings, his humor and his food. Heaven has a new pit-master to welcome. May his memory always be a blessing.
Sorry for Barb and the of the family for the loss. Sorry that he will no longer be gracing this forum. Always a kind word and positive person and the kind of person that makes this forum so great.
I'm stunned. My condolences to Barb and the rest of the family. We had a lot of things in common. Rich was a great guy and always had a fantastic sense of humor. I loved his indoor Weber. As recently as two weeks ago, he sent me a slew of photos of his and Barbs train layouts including his latest renovations to stay inside with the temp variations. His fur babies were dogs, ours are cats who ultimate run our lives. We both had the same model of Camp Chef smoker and I had upgraded my E-310 into a E-320 like the Dahl's have. He will be missed greatly. Hope the family uplifts Barb during this dark time. Stay strong!
Barb,
My prayers are with you at this sad time. Rich was always one of my favorite people to exchange messages with. Even though we never met in person, I always felt like I had a friend in AZ. His kind and positive encouragements have always been one of the things that set TVWBB apart.
My condolences. He’s one of the people who make this forum a special harbor of kindness and knowledge. A pleasant respite from a complex world. Rest in peace. Wishing his family the best.
Gosh, this is so sad. Condolences to Barb. May God's blessing be with you during this tough time. Rich's kindness and support will be greatly missed here.
Barb, our condolences to you the pups, and all the family. I can't even imagine what's going on now, but know we are all thinking you and the family - Rich was the real deal....
Just heard the sad news. Rich was always positive and upbeat and I enjoyed his posts as well as seeing his Grills pictured in the beautiful Arizona background.
I just logged in today and was so sorry to learn of Rich’s passing. I’ve only been part of this site for a year after a very long absence. I was looking for suggestions for a smaller grill and it was Rich who recommended a Jumbo Joe. I got one and I’ve enjoyed reading his posts (and Barb’s) ever since. He seemed like such a kind man with a great sense of humor; dedicated to barbecue, grills, and helping others with his suggestions and stories. I’m glad that we can remember him through his posts.
I want to offer my condolences to Barb and your family. I know from my own experience that grilling for one is not much fun. Please know that we are all thinking of you as you muddle through this very difficult time.
Barb, my heart goes out to you. I am so very sorry to hear this news. I've only been on these boards for a few years, but Rich made me and everyone else feel like we were old friends. I wish you all the best, Barb. You are both such special people.
