We went to the cancer surgeon today to see what options we have. The surgeon had us at ease in a couple of minutes.
He said the best option would be to do a removal of the tumor via a minimal invasive surgery on an outpatient basis called lumpectomy and follow up with radiation treatment which would be all local and once a week for five weeks. He said because we caught it so soon the survival rate for Barb on the five year system they use is 99%.
No Chemo but she will have to take an estrogen pill for 5 years.
First time I’ve seen Barb smile in long time and boy was I happy to see that.
Once again we thank all of you for taking time to send Barb your prayers and best wishes.
