I don't like to call it hoarding..

Sorry guys, been out for a few days... I did paint the Q's. 3 coats of Rustoleum Ultra on the lids and the plastic with the control knob. Saw someone else here had done it, and the paint was chipping on one of mine anyway. They came out excellent IMO. The older bags were leftover from the...

I don't like to call it hoarding..

I think of it more as "Value Based Consumerism". Cleaned up the garage before it get's cold here in Ohio, and got all my charcoal organized and accessible. 26 bags of Kingsford and 34 bags of Cowboy. All were purchased at deep discounts, and I should be all set until next summer.

    accessories fixes

+1. I like the functionality of the zip ties, but they don't have any aesthetics at all.

    Smokenator reviews/feedback

Same as everyone else, it works okay but requires checking every hour. Not a huge hassle, but it has been relegated to the garage unless I run out of space on my WSM.

    Kingsford sale?

Oddly enough, the Lowe's in the Dayton Ohio area are not having the $12.99 sale. It's not in their ad, and they were $19.99 when I stopped by today. I had them price match me on 2 from the HD ad, and then went to HD and picked up 5 more. Guess it's not a national sale, so thought I would pass it...

Does the hover grill fit a 18.5 WSM

Mine did not fit either. I bought a 14 3/4 bakers rack from Amazon in case I needed extra space.

    2014 Go-Anywhere Gas Grill - Photo

I just wonder if the thing will actually heat up to a good grill temp. My GA gasser seems to stick around 450 or less on High. Like the improvements we see in this photo. Thanks for sharing!

Smoked Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf w/cheese potato's

What is this word "vegan" that you speak of? ;) Next time I serve this, I'm keeping a defibrillator close by for sure. Thanks for the kind words.

Small Mod - Added an arm for my IQ 110

Got my IQ 110 this week and loving it. However, it's not really practical to hang it from the door knob, so I got a little creative. I got a small shelf bracket, 3/8 threaded steel rod, 2 washers and 3 - 3/8 inch bolts at Ace. Bent the top of the bracket 90 degrees back where the top mounting...

Smoked Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf w/cheese potato's

I finally got my CL acquired WSM dialed in the way I want it, and did a few test runs, so time to put it to work. This is my first WSM, and I am amazed at what a great cooking instrument this thing is. I shouldn't have waiting for a CL popup, I should have just bought a new one 2 years ago...

Crossed 2 BBQ Shrines off my bucket list

Ahh, missed the hot reference. However, I am a fan of spicy as well. I usually add hot sauce to regular cole slaw, so will fill the bill here as well. I did pick up a couple of bottles of Wilbur's sauce, which is a spice vinegar based sauce, so maybe it can enhance the Lexington slaw.

Crossed 2 BBQ Shrines off my bucket list

We were actually in your backyard. We visited the U.S.S. North Carolina on our trip home before going to Wibur's for dinner. That Battleship is impressive to say the least. My kids really enjoyed the tour. I'll try the slaw warm when I make it and let ya know. Thanks for the tip!
