First the cook, pup story at the end of my post for those interested.
My daughter, son in law, and a grandson came to visit Saturday.
Tri tip with Oakridge Santa Maria rub, wings salted heavy a few hours beforehand, dried well and on the grill with Mrs Dash table blend.
Plus garlic brats.
Tri tip on the 14.5 wsm with hickory for a good smoking.
Wings and brats on the Performer.
Tri tip after about an hour, internal 120.
Time to sear.
Sliced.
Grab shot of my son in law's plate, salad not shown.
(the wings were sauced before leaving the grill)
A very enjoyable meal, with people we love. on a fine autumn day.
Saved the pup story for last, it's kind of long.
About 2 weeks ago my daughter and family were in Colorado to visit my oldest son and family.
Three days before their arrival my son had found a half-starved pup on the side of a country road, took her home, and was caring for her.
Visiting grandson pleaded until she became his pup, he named her Violet.
We finally got to meet Violet, as did Brooke.
They wore each other out playing, and on Sunday our Miss Brooke was moving around like she was 17 instead of 7.
The vet said Violet looks to be about 8 weeks old, so she was about 6 weeks old when rescued.
She looks kind of Labrador-ish, but I think she'll be somewhat smaller.
As always, thanks for giving my post a look see.
