Overachiever!Between my charcoal grill, and my gravity fed smoker, I think I'm up over 200 lbs already this year.

Not tryin' to be, honest..... I've been picking up 4 bags, 20 lbs. ea., when I get more and I think I've been to the hardware at least 3 times this year. I do like charcoal grilled food.Overachiever!
Ouch, 3 bags for me but its Weber goes a bit farther. No problem using leftover charcoal.Between my charcoal grill, and my gravity fed smoker, I think I'm up over 200 lbs already this year.
I get Royal Oak Chefs Select from Mason Dixon BBQ, but I haven't been buying it recently since WalMart is stocked on Royal Oak All Natural.I see you’re from PA, are you getting the ROCS from Meadow Creek BBQ? They’re about 1 1/2 hours from me, I want to take a trip out there and load up. Where are you getting the B&B logs, haven’t been able to find them anywhere
You are a man from my own heart!!!I use about 20 pounds a week and grill year around. I’d say about 400-500 pounds year to date. All cooks are charcoal.

Rich, can you give a few details on this "charcoal ban". I'm from Connecticut and have never heard of this. Is it a California thing? Thanks.About 1/2 of a bag of KBB, but with the charcoal ban it will be 0 added to that until about mid October when they lift the ban....I hope.
Sure, the Southwest has been in a severe drought for 20 years. Also the forests have dried up and are tinder dry. Here in Arizona we have about 20 wildfires burning most of them with close to zero containment. It's also our monsoon season except no rain just a lot of dry lighting and high winds starting some of the fires and some are caused by idiots leaving campfires unattended etc.Rich, can you give a few details on this "charcoal ban". Wow. Thanks for the info. I had no idea. My wife and I lived in Tucson for a while many years ago so we know how dry it can be. Good luck. Wishing you many days of soft gentle rain without lightening.Sure, the Southwest has been in a severe drought for 20 years. Also the forests have dried up and are tinder dry. The local fire districts in trying to prevent as much as they can have put restrictions in place such as no out side welding, no campfires, no charcoal or anything that produces ash, no target shooting in the forest and just recently have closed all public access to the state and national forests in AZ.
One of the fires close to us went from a 20 acre fire too 20,000 acre fire in one day.
Gas grills are okay as long as they have an adult present at all times.
During the monsoon season we normally get at least 4-5 inches of rain which runs from June 15th through September 30th.
Last year we got just over an 1 1/2" for the whole year.
Lake Mead which supplies Phoenix with a lot of it's water and the farms to the east is at 36% fill which is the lowest it's been since Hover dam was built. In our weather forecasts for today it doesn't say sunny, cloudy, partly cloudy it says smoke.
