    Memorial Weekend Neighborhood Cook-out

Few of us planned the yearly cook-out. Invited lots of people thinking that most would have other plans, I guess we were wrong because 100+ ended up coming. Everything turned out great, sorry no plated pic's ( too busy finishing up the cooking and maybe a few drinks after cooking all day)...

troubleshoot performer ignition - round 2

Hi Troy, Had a issue like this also where I could get it to light with a lighter but not the igniter. I found with mine I had to adjust the electrode. It was sparking some but for what ever reason would not light. I just took pliers and adjusted the distance a little and it worked.

    Dented Lid

Hi Chris, Not sure exactly where the dent on yours is but I had one that the handle had pushed the top middle in. I used a rubber mallet to tap it out. It popped back out without any damage. I did this only because I did not want any water to sit in there and start rusting the handles. Hope this...

    SS Performer

Hi Shawn, I know with any of the one-touch systems I have replaced, the handle has a little notch that fits into the ring that is against the bottom of the bowl. If you take a flat head screw driver, place it between the handle and the ring, give it a slight twist and see if you can rotate the...

    Performer ignition issue

I had the same problem when I replaced my igniter. I cannot remember exactly but I had to play around with the distance between the igniter core and the tube. Once I got the correct distance it fires up like a champ.

Make Your Own Wooden Lid Handle

With Dad in town we got talking about the wooden handles. Since I got him and my brother the WSM, along with the neighbor having more grills then me we decided to take the drawings from the main page and see what we could do. We made a prototype out of some scrap pine and they looked very good...

    I must have a faulty WSM 18.5...

You are having a similar problem I have when I got mine. I went through 3 thermometers with Weber and they all did the same thing, 25-30 degree difference. Now I just use my maverick through the eyelets I have. I do use the water pan when doing Butts but I only fill it 1/2 full or 1 gallon. The...
