Time for a Tri-Tip

Decided it was time for a Tri-Tip since it has been awhile since we did one.
Used garlic salt and a little Grill Mates low sodium Montreal Steak Seasoning.

Got the performer running between 325 and 350 indirect with a few chunks of pecan, wanted to use Oak but I’m out and none of the stores have it anymore.
Pulled at 125 IT and let it rest while Barb did the yam rounds. Also steamed up a little broccoli on the stove top.

Came out very tender and tasty.

With it getting dark earlier now I’m finally getting to try out my light pole I installed for the performer. It works off of the 12volt Malibu light system so I didn’t have to run any AC to the location and it works great.

Thanks for stopping by.

Congrats of the great TT, Rich & Barb! Looks fantastic. The Cup cars are racing this weekend at PIR, you two ready for that?

All these years and I've yet to do a tri-tip. It looks great! Also envy the backyard you have with NO grass. :)

Looks Absolutely Trippendicular Rich!!
Tri will be on my dinner plate tonight as well... hope it is as nice as you've displayed... lve the LAMPEPOST also;)

Very nice plate. I don't have anyone around me that sales tri tip. I did have HEB cut me a couple one time but they were not cut right.

Nice Cook and Lampe - I need to improve my lighting conditions (few ideas rattling around)

Nice Rich!!! That tri-tip is perfection!!!!!! They are very hard to get down in my neck of the woods so I've never cooked one :(.

Great looking tri-tip Rich & Barb. Did one too last week, just no time to take pics & post. Like your light post will have to look into that after we get moved.

Looks great Rich.

I like that light pole. I may look into rigging up something similar.
