Howdy folks...cooler weather setting in these days - for us in more temperate climates, it usually means perfect grilling weather and Sunday was perfect! A shot of the back yard - wish it were like this all year!



Started the mini chimney - If you don't have one, get one! - they are amazingly convenient. Just needed to fire up some additionall briqs to top off a pile of leftover. Using KBB and some small pieces of partially spent hickory.


Smaller TT with KS, P, Cumin and Adobo


Started indirect, here finishing with a quick sear - taking her to 130 IT.


Inside, my better half is finishing off some fried plantains...


TT after a brief rest and then plated with plantains, rice and beans and some empanadas we picked up from a local Colombian restaurant. Great meal - thanks for looking!!

Nice back yard.... One day I will have something like that.

Nice cook Jim. The last time I had fried plantains was with a friend from Colombia. They gave me beer named Aguila it was great.
