We’re not as far along as Bill and some of the others in our bread making skills but we’re getting there.
After seeing Bills wonderful bread on his thread I thought I’d share our latest attempt.
The spaghetti sauce was made Friday in the DO on the performer so I could use the DO for the bread yesterday. No pictures of the actual cook because I wasn’t going to post it. Just some plated pictures.
This is the Overnight White from the Ken Forkish book. Barb and I are walking our way through the book developing our skills as we go. Each bread is a little more involved but the process is basically the same each time. The texture and taste improves with each step forward.
The spaghetti sauce was excellent with just a little smoky taste. Used a couple of slices of our bread and made some cheesy garlic bread with Trader Joes excellent California Estate EVOO and fresh minced garlic and mozzarella cheese.

Bread and plate looks great! Wish I wasn't so busy right now so I could get back into making bread again. Love those deep flavors yuo get when you have time to do it right.
