a beautiful day in Raymond yesterday, gave me the chance to roll out the Santa Maria Grill.
fired up two chimneys of Kingsford for a baker's dozen of Bryan's Roadside marinated chicken.
turned and basted the bird parts every 3 to five minutes...
I also tossed in a few small pieces of apple wood for a hint of smoke...
took much longer to come to temp on this open fire than inside the kettle...
but it's fun dealing with the flare-ups
served up with oven roasted cauliflower and fried rice with sautéed garlic scapes and sweet peppers.
Roadside is STILL the favourite in this house... Thanks for stoppin' by!
