Pizzas

We haven't had pizza in a while, at least not on the grill. Decided to fix that.

My wife likes a veggie pizza. RBP, onion, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, olives. Trader Joe Garlic and Herb dough. TJ Sauce too.

Mine was mushroom, olive and salami and anchovies.

Extra pizza Canadian Bacon and Pineapple.

Couple hunks of oak to boost temp.

Getting the stone warm.

First one in.

That's all folks. Pretty tasty. Thanks for looking.

Looks great. I've been using my kettle Pizza for a couple of years now and I still cant get enough of seeing other pizzas. Thanks for posting.

Those pizzas look awesome. Have to fire ours up if the weather ever getting warm. May have to try some in the CIS one night just for fun.

Pies look really good Cliff. You had me on number two until the anchovies, so Ill take a number three please which is my favorite pizza anyways. Got to get Barb to make up some of her dough and fire up our pizza kettle, last time was in October.

They look perfect to me. I overdid it on the Salami last time I got one from RD- I had to go real light with it after the first pie I had a 6# salami, I think :)

One story I remember, that falls in line with Enrico (and thanks Enrico for the similar advice you gave to me ---- he's <Enrico> a pizza aficionado, I believe):

So long story short my friend moves to Italy for a year or so. Orders a pie, wants a combination: "you Americans----" I forget exactly how the story goes but they bring him out a much simpler pizza.

It's hard to not overload the pies. Maybe Enrico should post more of his!

Open faced meat, cheese, vegetable pies are wonderful! Typically I try not to use TOO much anymore.
Margheritas, fresh mozzarella, basil and perfectly ripe tomatoes have really become a summer favorite! I can't get decent fresh mozzarella here in what my brother (a Chicagoan) called "The Provinces" but, when I visit my sister in Pittsburgh, I make a stop at "PennMac" and get enough to last a whole evening!
I have simply used the leftover tile from my kitchen flooring project with cornmeal as a "release agent" with wonderful results.
