Monster Bleu Cheese Stuffed Burgers

I had some ground beef that needed to be cooked so I thought I would try something a little different.

I made four, 1/3# patties with parsley and onions mixed in and stuffed with bleu cheese.


Ready to go.


Indirect with some pecan added.


Smokin.


Getting a little color from the pecan.


Doing the reverse sear.


Plated Atkins style.



These turned out good, maybe just a little too much beef on one plate.

Looks wonderful ! (Just need a slice of tomato ;) Always have to have a slice with a burger ). But I think you're right: 1 lb of beef is a bit much at one sitting. But still looks mouth-watering good.
 
I'd like to eat that on a third of a loaf of french bread with a lot of ketchup - yum
 
I clicked to see exactly how monstrous these burgers would be - you did not disappoint! Thanks for sharing, looks delightful to me
 
If I had the French bread, I'd probably use that and "Go Mideval" on it.
Cut the burger and let the goodies from inside moisten the bread like a trencher!
2/3 of a pound of beef would kick my wife's rear but, I think I could handle it with a nice glass of red wine or bourbon or beer or scotch or gin......
 
Ah, I remember the days I could eat a burger like that. No longer, but I'd give it a good try. Great looking burger Pat.
 
Plate looks wonderful and tasty Pat. Great job. Would work well for Atkins maybe just a bit smaller.
 
Wowzers! I'd put that bad boy on some toasted rye and eat the heck out of that fine looking burger!
