First Time Crispy Chicken Sandwich

Barb and I decided to try something different a crispy fried BSCB sandwich. Which was quite good so here is our version of a quick and very tasty meal.
Oh lesson learned unless cleaning up a lot of grease splatter is something you like to do never use a little Smokey Joe to cook anything in oil!
Now that I've thought about it I should have used my Dutch oven. Duh.

A little egg and fish fry with a little added garlic powder.

fwiw - Lodge makes some deep skillets.
You could use the Smokey Joe & not have to worry about the oil spattering.

Nice work Rich!! You and Barb always eat well...so ??? Did the pineapple get onto the sandwich or was that something else? I love grilled pineapple but it seems out of place with fried chicken? Just curious...maybe that is one of those combos I need to try!!

Great looking Crispy Chicken! I always wanted to do deep fry in the kettle,do you know what the temp of the oil was when you threw the chicken in there? Thanks!

Tasty looking Sandwee! As you realized the dutch oven is the way to go when using oil to fry anything. Another approach and one that I use on chicken and pork chops is to skip the oil all together. Try this:

Morgan, sorry I'm late responding missed your question, I missed it. Yes the pineapple was on the sandwich and it went really well with the fried crispy chicken. Didn't over cook so it stayed crisp.
