Barb completed “grillin and smokin 101” last night. She now can cook on any of our grills gas or charcoal and both smokers on her own. Even this morning she made homemade biscuits for eggs and biscuits and gravy on the gasser to keep the heat out of the house.
Barb did high heat Roadside Chicken and two large breasts with Mexican seasoning to be used for tacos and a Mexican chicken salad later in the week. She marinated the road side chicken for eight hours.
She also did a new corn recipe “Grilled corn with steakhouse butter” which was excellent, using a basting sauce.
She used peach and almond for the smoke in the 18.5 WSM and when it came time for the corn she threw a few chunks of wood in and left the door open to get a good fire going to char the corn.
Everything came out perfect, she did gooood!

Now that we have two performers I’ve been challenged to a performer throw down by Barb. So stay tuned this is going to be fun. I think I might be in trouble here.

Careful Rich, you may get booted out the door soon! :)
Barb's RSC looks terrific!
Also, wish I could have been there for the biscuits and gravy, I get weak in the knees at just the mention of those two food groups.

Ok guys, looks like we have serious competition from the fairer sex. Time to up our game!!

Great job Barb.

Thanks to everyone for your kind remarks. It's a lot of fun and I've learned so much from all your postings. Thanks again.;)
