7.5 on a 14 My best Pulled Pork yet?

I wasn't going to post another boring butt cook, but since this was probably my best of many butt cooks I thought I'd share.

Seven and a half pound butt, SYD rub, RO Chef's Select charcoal, with apple and hickory on the 14" WSM.

I just put it on, no therms, etc, and let it go, all vents open.
After about an hour the dome therm said 225, this slowly climbed to 300, then started back down again.
I added a few coals twice.

Here she is after 7 hours, no bone wiggle yet, so it went into foil for two more hours.

Rested for about 45 minutes, out of the foil and falling apart.

Tender and moist as all get out.
I planned this for today's dinner, but we had to pig out on some last night.

Thanks for viewing!

If that's a boring old cook, then bore me to death, looks fantastic. Now I want to cook one

Wow, That looks great Bob. You know you've done a few when you don't need a thermometer to get the job done on a nine hour cook. I sure would like to be bored with a cook like that.

That's some of the best looking pulled pork I've seen! I'd have posted it too!

That's awesome looking pork, Bob. Butt cooks are never boring. I've cooked a lot, but doing my first butt once it warms up. Keep the turorials coming my way! :-)

Bob, I don't know how to say this tactfully, but that 14" WSM makes your butt look big! ;) No, really, it does, that thing looks HUGE!

Great looking PP. I haven't made any in a long while, and I'd be thrilled if mine turned out as good as yours looks!

Bob, I'd like to be bored with a plate of that anytime. That looks so yummy, just fill a bag and ship it to AZ please.;)
