If you remember green stamps
And Paid Stamps. My parents did both.
And Raleigh Coupons from smoking Raleigh cigarettes...get 5 extra coupons when you buy the carton! I got my first sleeping bag with Raleigh coupons.

I hated those S&H Green Stamps (and later on, Blue Chip stamps). It was my job to stick them in the little booklets...I think there were 100 stamps per page. Stores used to have 2x or 3x stamps promotions as a way to draw customers.

I remember the towels that you used to get with laundry detergent, too...buy the bigger box, get a bigger towel. And helping my mother shorten her skirts every year as hemlines went up.
 
How about the giant dill pickles on a stick, fresh out of the barrel for a nickel? Loved the old mom & pop stores who made their own.
Or the big glass jars of pickled eggs and pickled pig's feet? As a kid I couldn't bring myself to look at those feet floating around at the bottom of the jar. One of my friends used to love pickled pig's feet. Gross!
