I've seen Morgan C cook these several times, so I decided to try it too.
Pretty sure his AK Costco sells them cut into strips.

Salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder for the rub.

Verdict? Excellent!
Cut into strips, with the grain, makes them super tender when carved across the grain.

No peppers or good bread, so my lunch yesterday was a bit compromised, but tasty.
Thin tri tip pieces, and onions with garlic olive oil.

Added some "cheese" sauce.

Got it all gooey.

And served on hot dog buns.

That's all I got.
It feels good to be feeling better, I was running a 102 fever this time yesterday evening.
Orneriness coming out of me I guess.
Thanks for your time!

Imagine: Bob Correll being ornery.

Nah, I just consider the source. :p

Funny, with them cut this way we thought they tasted somewhat different, in a good way, change of pace maybe.

I'm sorry Bob, you had me all the way until you got to the orange toothpaste! :)
But, my dentist says I should brush more, so maybe it's not a bad thing...

Bob your making me want some Tri tips...they are good and you cut them up perfect!! I love the tenderness of these...great Flavor...nice work buddy...hope ur feeling better!

Those look fantastic Bob. We have them at our Costco and it's been a long time since I've cooked them. Will do it son. I really liked the "greenery". Balances the meal out. Glad you're feeling better.

Glad you're feeling better Bob, a fever that high will sure get you down! Double the fun with the Tri Tips, both look great, nice cook!

That sure is a winner of a cook Bob, will have to get Rich to try this. Glad you are feeling better.

That's a great use of some beautiful meat. Love those UTZ on the side. I don't think there's a better side to a hot sandwich or sub.

Hey Bob, I heard that Jim Lampe is trying to have Cheese Whiz banished from the state of Wisconsin.
Next time you make that, try some Scotts of Wisconsin smoky bacon cheese spread instead of the Whiz.
A better eating experience is guaranteed!

Nice job Bob - it is hard to beat a perfectly cooked steak no matter how you plate it...

Regards,

John
