Our garden is producing tomatoes faster than we can eat or freeze them, so the Lady of the House came up with the idea of making some tomato soup and we decided to roast/smoke the veggies. Everything was roasted direct over low heat about 250 - 300.
First batch of tomatoes

The tomatoes were roasted for about 15 minutes, the onion and garlic were roasted for about 25 minutes

Everything in the pot waiting for the homemade chicken stock and other stuff

The Lady of the House did everything else and used an immersion blender to blend everything together.
Honestly some of the best soup we have eaten. A real earthy taste and you could smell the smoke on the soup, a winner for sure

A couple of weeks ago I did a post with some beautiful Oregon blue sky, my buddy Cliff asked me where all of the smoke was, well Cliff it's in our valley now

Things have been really crazy around the house, I'm still doing cooks just not getting enough pictures, plus we are having the house painted and it's hard to grill with the patio looking like this

The grills are in there somewhere, but I did throw on some spiral dawgs today, love this style of cooking brats

Thank you all for looking and keep posting those beautiful cooks of yours.
