Our final cook of 2013....nothing fancy

This New Year's Eve we kept it simple and did a taco bar style. We don't go out and get crazy like we just too or do the party scene for New Years. Now I rather stay home with my kids and have family and friends over....

It started like this.
Got a beef tongue on the smoker @275 and smoked with wine barell chunks

I also saw a thread from long time ago that if you remove one of the screws you can pass the wires for the maverick. Next time I will see if it holds 2 butts.

A few hours later I got the weber ready for my Carne Asada tacos

Superb Tony and Maribel, my family like yours hosts a lot of family and friends every New Years Eve. For 30 years now. It is the best. I hope you guys have a great 2014 my friends

Tony, being of Basque heritage I certainly appreciate beef tongue. My late grandpa (from Bilbao, Spain) would kiss you for those tacos. The meal looks fantastic. Plus your use of the Instagram videos is very enjoyable. Thank you for adding so much to this site. Always look forward to your great posts. Happy New Year!

It's just a casti iron plow disc my mother in law got me from Mexico.

Never had beef tongue, but wiling to try anything once. Taste like chicken..hehe

That's what I'm talkin about -- let all the amateurs go out and hit the check points -- I'm hangin with the 8 and under crowd at the house. Always enjoy your Discada cooks. Happy New Year to you and your family.
