My Brothers Birthday, Ribeye's in SoCal

We just returned from a great vacation in southern California. 3 nights in San Diego at the Hotel Del Coronado followed by 4 nights at my brothers beautiful home in Fullerton. You just can't beat the weather out there. We celebrated my brothers birthday while we were there and had a cookout. His wife enjoys cooking as much as I do so we put together a nice meal to celebrate.

Some nice ribeyes from the local butcher.

We did the sous vide method on some of them.

In the bath.

My daughter and her cousin shucking some corn.

Stuffed jalapenos, half with shrimp and half with scallops.

My brother, my daughter and Guinness.

My daughter in her favorite place while we were grilling.

This is me at the helm of my brothers very large gasser. I think I'm going to get him a kettle for Christmas.

The cousins and Guinness enjoying the pool.

Continued.

Jalepenos on the grilling mat, this worked pretty well.

Did some direct.

Jalapenos.

Ribeyes.

The whole spread.

Good times with the family.

My little brother is one year older.

This was my daughters demeanor for almost all of the time we were in California.

What a great trip with the family.

Thanks for looking.

Wonderful story and great pictures plus the food looks fantastic. Barb and I lived in Lake Forest which is just a few miles south of Fullerton. We just came back from a visit to see our kids and grand kids in Hunting Beach. I thought why did we leave such a wonderful climate, then I got on the 405 freeway and thought this is why.

Ditto what Rich said but I would add the 91,55 and 5 freeways. Again Pat outstanding cooks and awesome looking family. Great pics for sure.

You nailed it Pat, not just the cook but more importantly the moment. Nicely done!

What a bunch of terrific pictures! Great looking food and the family pics are awsome! Thanks for sharing!
