It's raining Skylines!

It’s raining, it’s raining!

My wife is very happy that that one is also no where neerby:rolleyes:! She has me firmly entrenched in honey do items, so my grill restorations are mostly on hold:(. I will be back with at least something soon...

Here's another Skyline 3200, says its setup for natural gas, its located in Hebron Indiana

Hi guys I actually bought this Gen3200 a couple weeks ago. Seller went on vaca so he forgot to take it down I guess...Special thanks to Rich Dahl for convincing me to buy it.

The "bottom rack" thing is just a few slabs of wood laying on an otherwise stock wire rack. You may have seen I've posted a few threads recently asking about 3000 NG to LP conversion relative to the manifold etc. I think to convert, ideally I'd need a Gen X000 LP manifold with side burner tap/connect. I'm in the market, anybody have one?? And man they are hard to find. Donor grills sell real quick! Larry and Bruce have sent some good advice.

Will be a month or so until I can jump on the reno but will be asking for some pointers. I plan to rehab to patio queen quality, and Jon Tofte is my "mentor" on this baby BTW!!!! Jon get yours done so we have a manual for future generation Skyline restorers!!!

I have 5 genesis 1000 in my driveway now. Not sure if any have the extra port for the extra burner though. I will check tomorrow.

Tony, check your Private Messages.

That’s the one I think I really want! The side burner would be a handy thing even if only for doing sauce for the kettle!
My late brother loved living in Chicago and would think me having a skyline was terribly cool! One of these days....

Timothy, I think you could probably find any Silver C grill and swap out the two hoods and move the basket over.

Finished up the Skyline today, just in time too, as I heading off for Vacation and I got another grill (hopefully) on the way.

One of my Friends heard I was getting ready to post it on Craigslist and mentioned it to his friend. Sold!

Jeff that thing is so awesome! AND it would be perfect parked between my Skyline 520 and my Skyline 3200!!! DANG I WISH !!!

You sold the SKYLINE???

Bruce,
I did.
I still have my Platinum 3200 and am starting on the 5000 restore (finally) and I might have a"special" grill heading my way very soon so the Skyline had to go.

Tony,
That would be the Weber Trifecta!

My new goal. A G1000 Skyline. (Would that be a 1200?)

The hunt is on. Finders fee considered!

I love that so many are getting interested in Skylines! I remember when Larry kind of dissed them by referring to their "goofy pin stripe", and at the time I thought I might be a little crazy to like them so much. I guess not! Welcome all to the club;)!

I would sure like to find a decent two-burner Skyline to complete my set. I just wonder where I would put it and what I would do with it besides just look at it!

It would make a heck of a night stand. Maybe even put a grill light on it for reading.

OK guys, I may be joining the Skyline club soon. I have a line on one for $30. It is going to take some work to arrange it, but I am hoping my sister can pick it up for me. I am still waiting for a reply to my email on CL. Check out the end caps. They look great in the photo. Durawood looks intact and in good shape too. Swing shelf intact as well. I am not worried about the internals.
Wish me luck.
