Wonderful NY's and the bride only paid $4.99 a LBS

Those looks good! Try patting your steaks dry before tossing them onto the grill. If you prefer it, you will get a better crust.

I used to stock up on NY strips anytime they hit that price. They (strip steaks) were my first favorite cut, was replaced by porterhouse several years ago....now I'm looking at chuck eyes (one good purchase - weren't to be found the next time)

You burning any wood chips on your Genesis?

Those look great Chuck, that's one of our most favorite finds in the dog food section. Picked up six of them a couple of weeks ago at $1.99 a pound marked down from $7.99. They are really a good steak for a quick meal.

Chuck your NYs look so good and at $4.99lb ( I just paid $9.99lb yesterday at Costco ) what a fine meal for the price of a burger out.

Yum! Nice and hot for those grill marks and sear!

NY strip is my favorite, get a nice marbled prime and its just the right combo of juiciness to firmness.

Not on my high heat cooks. If I'm doing a low-heat cook (roto) I'll put a chunk of wood over one of the burners, to get some smoke flavoring.

Thank you everyone for the kind comments. I love my Genny, especially after a cook like this one
