My only apprehension with the 330, is how I’d make a bigger drip pan, but 4 N/S burners would be ideal for a griddle.

Remove the drip pan and fashion a square funnel in its place with a gallon sized bucket under it.

The answer to that is that they were also used on the three burner “fat frame” Genesis Platinum grills of that same era.
