I will just leave this here

Yah, I am sure it is. I wish I could get $300 for one of those around here.
Even with the stand and everything? I don’t think the average person realizes that those are such great little cookers. I’ve yet to actually cook on one but just by looking at them up close and seeing your guys reviews I know what they’re capable of.

Yah, I think the design and simplicity of them turns off some people. They just can't believe that they are very capable grills. And aside from the uniqueness of them, there is no "bling" factor on them. That is not to say the Q line up hasn't been wildly successful for Weber over the last 20 years.
Cody, you should pick one up when you see a good deal and just give it a shot. It might wind up on your deck.

I’ve got two of them. A 100 and a 200. One of them is for my daughter. She’s wanting to learn how to grill and I think that would be a perfect way to learn

The Q’s don’t cost much new with a warranty. A lot of people overlook them and think they need a Spirit at $500 plus to satisfy their gas grill needs.

I can’t get more than $150 for a refurbished Q in my area.

I think people get hung up on the portable marketing baloney of the Q and think it’s for campers only.

Yah, it is marketed as a compact and portable grill lineup. Even the Q3xx is to some extent. I think Weber should put more emphasis on it's "Versatility and Capability" however. Likely the Q line up will transition to the new Q2800+ design, but the same applies to those as well if not more so.

That being said, I imagine if they can sell customers a Spirit over a Q grill, that doesn't bother them.

Yeah -- I've got that weber itch to add a Q to my herd too - at least for a test run, but I'm sure it would find a spot it my heart and become a workhorse - most likely replacing the 2 burner Spirit. I think a Q 2xx or 3xx with half grill / half griddle would suit a lot of my cooking needs for smaller cooks. I don't think I could tolerate an older one without a thermometer tho --- it HAS to one for me to be happy.

My only reservation is that being so small -- regular cleaning would be paramount and maybe more intensive/difficult/annoying than the Spirit....?....?

Qs are very easy to clean. Just scrape the grate with an appropriate, safe tool and then lift off and use a small plastic scraper to push everything on the bottom into the drip tray below.

As to size, the 100/1000 series are fairly small, but certainly enough for cooking for 2 or even 4. The 200/2000 grills are a great compromise and probably as much useable space as 2-burner Spirit. When you jump up to the "Big Q" 300/3200 you have almost as much space a Genesis 300 series!

Have a look at this comparison:

Yeah --- I had no idea the 3 series were so big. Honestly, I haven't actually seen too many in person to get a good sense of size between the different models.

I figured I drop this here....

I just got a Q1200 off of Marketplace and it's a great little cooker for 2. I had 2 hamburgers grilled and buns toasted on it before my big Genesis would be warmed up. Used alot less gas also.
