Hi All,
My butcher recommended flat iron steak as having great flavor and being pretty tender. Not ever having cooked that cut of meat I was pretty skeptical when I opened the cryovac but she was right, great flavor and tenderness. Marinated the steak for a couple of hours before cooking.
The makings of a butter sauce for the steak: 1 stick of butter with scallions, roasted red peppers, garlic powder and pepper:
Fresh asparagus and corn on the grill first:
The steak off the grill and resting with the butter sauce on it:
Sliced on the bias on the cutting board:
And finally all plated:
