Burgundy Mushrooms <--- How to!

Seen these before wanted to know if they could live up to the hype..And if it was worth spending 9h cooking em. I can tell ya that this might be THE best condiment to any steak. If you love shrooms give em a try and i bet you will LOVE EM!

Lets start:

Did a half batch(that was a big mistake)

Only problem with this cook was that the shrooms outshine the steak. Will be making these Again and again and....And the sauce/fond/au jus that is left in the pot will be frozen in cubes for later awesomness.

Thanks for your time ppl!

I've seen the folks at Smoked-Meat do the 9 hr shrooms. They all rave about them. I haven't done em yet but I think I need to correct that omission.

...a meal that keeps giving and giving... I love it!!
Dinner looks Absolutely OUTSTANDING !!

Ditto to my comments to your last post. Those mushrooms look fabulous. That Tater Gratain is right up my alley. Will have to try that!

We are huge mushroom fans. Thank you for teaching us a great way to prepare them. Going to have to try this technique.

I've had burgundy mushrooms before, but never ones which were cooked for 9 hours. Your dedication looks like it paid off big time, Daniel!
