We've been getting some rain and the lawn is starting to come back, I decided to let the girls fertilize the worst area, they enjoy helping dad out with that. Getting about a half dozen eggs a day now

Been way too busy, looking forward to checking out some of the cooks posted up. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

nice cook. SWMBO wants chickens so bad she can taste it. I have been trading spent grains from brewing for eggs but the local egg lady has had a dog/coyote/fox problem so eggs have dried up.

That bacon looks great Chuck. So do the handles on your Redhead. Where did you get those from?

Chuck, looks awesome! The brothers did their work well for sure! Great use of the trimmings in split pea soup by the way. I made up some stock with leftover carcasses (about 50:50 fresh and smoked) in my Instant Pot the other day, then used that (with some of my pancetta and smoked hocks) to make up some split pea soup (can you believe the recipe called for WATER for the liquid????) It was heavenly! Would love to see yours!

PS: Oh, and the croutons made from the ends of the sourdough really put it over the top! :)

Great cook, and by the way you have a great looking backyard and two great looking kettles. I feel the urge to add a red one to my black and copper. I wish i could find belly at that price here.

Good looking bacon there Chuck, love split pea soup just waiting for it to cool off a little here, not pea soup soup weather yet.

Thanks everyone. Those handles are aftermarket but came with the BBQ, I bought it used. I think they are walnut and let me tell you, they get HOT HOT HOT

Chuck that looks awesome and then doing split pea soup which I love. We have a ham bone in the freezer so will be doing that for dinner real soon if it ever cools off. Here we are 10/31 and its till 80 out side.
