Charcoal basket for the Weber Summit Kamado

Hi all. I am a fan of the kick ash style baskets and have the BGE style in my large egg. Looking to do the same with my Kamado but none existing seem to fit so well. I know many will say its not needed but i wanted to trial as it works so well in other grills. Has anyone had success with any SS...

    Summit E6 Questions

I have been using a WSM 18 for years and bought a 22 for larger cooks. I am not really a fan of the 22 and looking into the E6 and have some questions. Is it fairly easy to set a cooking temperature with the E6? Is the E6 good for long cooks? Approximately, how much charcoal is needed for a...

    Chicken thighs

I finally got to try Harry Soo’s chicken rub. You can buy it or make it, the recipe is in his Q and A session. Sauced with Sweet Baby Ray’s honey bbq sauce. Turned out pretty good. I have tried a few recipes and really like his. Cooked at 325° for about an hour over Fogo Super Premium lump.

E6 Kamado fuel grate position and deflector plate

I have had my E6 for a few months so I am still learning how to best utilize the great features. I need a couple of suggestions. 1 Fuel grate position. I have been using the lowest position for most cooks as it works great in that position, I figure for searing I could raise it but haven't had...

New Weber Summit Kamado E6 - Lid misaligned

Hello everyone. I received yesterday my brand new Weber Summit Kamado E6. I assembled it all without issues but in the end I noticed that my lid does not sit aligned with the bowl. If I look from the underside, I can see that the lid is a few mm to the left side but the thermometer, front handle...
