I have the replacement doors from Cajun Bandit on my 14.5, 18.5, and 22.5 (without any compression latches) WSMs, and will tell you that they fit and seal (after my first cooks) like a glove. I will also tell you that Harry Soo has them on his WSM's (I had the great pleasure to experinec that...

    Advice on first kettle purchase

Hi Matt, My suggestion to you (like what has been said before me) is to go with the Gas Assist Performer. You should grab one now off of CL, before the grill season gets everyone else excited as well. If you miss it, stay patient and you will find someone (thats moving) that is selling one...

Help Please - door handle broke

Dex, in my opinion the best temp. fix is to use a hex head bolt (~3/4 long - 1/4 #20 size maybe), fender washer, and nut to get your cook out of the way. Make sure to take the door (with a marking on its back with you to Home Depot or Lowes to make sure the fender washer is wide/ large enough...

Handles on Mini and cooking Turkey Legs

Jeff, Great idea. I added Stainless Steel U-bolts to my Mini WSM cooking Grates since they are low(er) profile, yet serve the same purpose as your idea. Love the Turkey Legs though.... great looking.... I bet they turned out awesome. Have a great one. Ali

    Grill Cleaning Observation

Hi Andy, What works for me is to use Home Depot's HD Over cleaner. I sprayed it liberally and then let the bowl and the lid sit outside in a trash bag (in the sunny San Diego) for 3-5 hours. I then get a grill scrubber (Brillo for grills) and scrub it, I then rinse it with garden hose, and let...

many round holes or one big whole for the bottom of the pot?

Hi Jeff, I dont know this as a fact (since I just cut one big hole with abpprox. 1" lap), if I consider the laws of physics and the small amount of mass difference between what you have already vs. cutting another 1/2" off, I would just let it be. You will be fine my man....Now Cheers :).

many round holes or one big whole for the bottom of the pot?

Jeff, The bottom rim on mine is less then 1" all the way around. I do have the Steamer rack(with holes) where the Manufacturer has it sitting, with my Saucer wrapped in Aluminum foil sitting on top of it. I have 2 cooking racks and my top one is approx. 4" down from the top lip of the Steamer...

Hi Jeff, I will be the first to respond... I researched and read up about Mini WSM builds A LOT before I decided to build my Mini WSM. I started with my SJ Gold, and switched over to SJ Silver just because of all the better airflow experience that folks had (and I did as well). My conclusion...
