    This should be a Weber

Looks like this is the way it is designed. In the comments of this video, Masterbuilt says the metal plates are designed to burn away exposing the fire bricks. The fire bricks are replaceable. Having said that...the video shows how to mod the firebox. See the video comment for the note from...

    Rotisserie Question

I have done it and it worked fine...didn't have any issues! You have one prong in each chicken so they stay put.

    new 26.5 kettle

Also...I was just reading a thread on searing steaks over chimney starters...in the picture, looks like Morten has the set-up for that!...

Yes Morten...thanks for the picks! This one was one of my favorites...everyone should go and look at these. See the green, white, and gold kettles behind Morten?

As good as Texas BBQ RUB Bisket blend

I would be careful...that's an awful lot of nutmeg! I don't think I would add that much...

Oh, and don't forget to have a little fun...

You know...I'm even more impressed with this place. Since "VW is populated by engineers" you wouldn't think we would have time to post and share on this board considering we are all out there driving trains around...

Are the ATC's worth the $ for the regular Joe?

I believe with an AMEX card you must pay the entire balance off each month....no carry over or they get mean... It's best not to own any of those dang things...

    New WSMs for 2009

The pan on the bottom looks more like a heat sheild than a drip pan. It seems to me if it was intended to be a drip pan it would be easy to remove and wouldn't have a hole in it...

    Kalua Pig (Hawaiian Luau)

You are right...wall paper paste but coupled with the smoked pork...I thought it was great! I know this sounds wierd to most that haven't experienced it...LOL.

    Still No Tri-Tip <sigh>

LarryR tells no lies...I lived most of my life in California and you can't go anywhere without finding a tri tip lying around... I haven't seen them here in Iwoa since I moved here. I need to have my Mom send a few out...

    Thanks a lot guys...

I was just so utterly amazed at how easy it was...I still can't believe it. The thing held 225-250 all day with a few additions of briquettes. It was EASY... Yes...I'm totally hooked!
