Went to the roots today, Hind and Fore which is a German Prime Meat Market near me makes some of the best Bratwurst you can buy and I picked it up for tonights dinner. Also making German Potato Pancakes. Did not have time to do from scratch like normal but I like the Panni Brand, it is very good especially when you add some scallion and fresh ground Nutmeg to the mix.

Everything going on the OTG, started pouring here and got dark real early

On the table with a good Beer and Sauerkraut along with apple sauce and a good German Mustard.

Loved it!

Jah,das es gut! I think! It's been a very long time since I was in Germany,and what German I've forgotten may not translate very well! :p Still,it looks good!
 
Nice fall fare Bill - it looks wonderful. when you get a minute, please post the recipe for your home made German potato pancakes.

Brats look perfect, Bill! True meat-craftsmanship shows after the flame. Sure that was delicious.
 
German food is simple, but very good. Love the Stein. I had some Krombacher Dark yesterday. I loved it and need to replenish my supply.
 
Don't put the leftovers away yet! I'm getting in the car!

I ditto John, that is one fantastic meal! Its been a long time since I was in Germany, but the food was great. As always a great job Bill.
 
Brats and potato pancakes, with a good German beer make a great combo Bill. Looks like a trip to the homeland without the airfare!
