TVWGG Hot Dog Taste-Off

Alpine was (still is?) the official hot dog of the San Francisco Giants.

As long as we're talking baseball hot dogs, I also like a good Dodger Dog.

Also, a good hot dog at Fenway Park! I like the split top buns.

And my favorite Oakland A's used to have a decent Coliseum Dog back in the day. Don't get all up in my face about the ketchup!

I did not know that. Thanks….

I did get thrown by the Kershaw jersey…..

Good 'dogs can be heated in a whole lotta different ways. And me.... I'm one of the ketchup heathens.

@Chris Allingham , wish I had the opportunity to introduce you to Von Hanson's (local butcher shop chain) old fashioned natural casing weiners. Casing have a good snap, a fairly find grind, good meats and well seasoned.

A couple years ago I was obsessed with making a Chicago dog. I bought all the stuff, neon relish, sport peppers, etc. even got poppy seed rolls. Guess what, I didn’t like it (really wanted to)…too much going on. Guess I’m just a sauerkraut and mustard guy. My favs are Black Bear brand sold by our local ShopRite supermarkets.
I like Sabrett’s and Nathan’s too

You’ll probably like Boars Head dogs too.

It probably is wrong but they were expensive and good. Some You Tube guy was raving about Wagu Hot Dogs so I had to try it. About $8 if I remember correctly.

You rich! I can get a 24 pack of Nathan’s at Sam’s for that price.

What you just posted is THE reason I like a kosher dog. No snout, asp, hoofs, ears or other body parts. I don’t think I’d buy wagu anything. I’m a Luddite.
I was told hot dogs are the trash parts thrown together, I didn't know some actually use real meat. Potted meat in a can, as a kid I thought that was cat food. If it is still made I am scared to know what goes in there.

I just bought these two days ago. They might be the best available in the PA/NJ area.

When you consider the cost of cheap hot dogs being almost as low as $1 per pound, you wonder what they are made from. You can not buy any meat, cereal or bread for that price.

You should read up on kosher food products. We try to buy kosher products as much as we can due to usually better quality ingredients. I’m not saying that all kosher products are healthy. But their ingredients are more natural and clean.
