Found a top sirloin in the dog food section and decided to give it a try with a new recipe I found with a bourbon BBQ sauce.
Smokey Joe gets the call. Barbs asparagus and left over taters as the sides.

Stuff for the Bourbon BBQ Sauce.

Came out looking like beef gravy after simmering it.

Got to say the bourbon BBQ sauce was great will do this again!
See you around the grill.

Rich;
That's a VERY nice job! We recently did a sirloin. I slightly over cooked it and it came out just a bit tough but has great beefy flavor.

Thanks for sharing with us!

Keep on smokin',

Everything looks delicious, Rich.

Luke it's brown sugar, If you want the recipe I will be glad to post it. It is really good and I'm going to try it on some pork chops and chicken too!

I know that's a Steak but it looks like a roast! I don't think I've tried that yet - Larry Wolfe, I think, used to cook them all the time

Great looking steak from the dog food section. Your sauce is very interesting as well. Would you mind posting the recipe please?

Some of you have asked for the Whiskey Dijon BBQ sauce so here it is, Enjoy!

Whiskey Dijon BBQ Sauce

½ cup reduced sodium beef or chicken broth
3 Tbs. of whiskey
3 Tbs. of Dijon mustard
2 Tbs. of packed light brown sugar
1 large shallot finely chopped
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chopped fresh thyme

Combine all the ingredients in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to a lively simmer and cook stirring frequently until reduced to about ½ cup 6-10 minutes.
