Dang a slate and a searwood. Nice.VE
My new Slate griddle also has the VE code.
I’m really thinking about the new rust proof slate.

Yea. I got sick of my Genesis Gas. Wanted to try something new. Couldn’t decide on the griddle or the pellet so I got both. Haha. I’ve had the Slate for about a month and love it so far. Hoping I will love the Searwood too. I plan on doing the burn in tomorrow evening under my covered porch for now. Maybe cooking a whole chicken or just some chicken breasts for first cook.Dang a slate and a searwood. Nice.

The entire back is the vent, right at the seamView attachment 88783
There are no vents.
I see so the diffuser directs the heat diagonally. Weird. This video kind of gives an idea on what all is going on there.
Looks like all the parts internally are stainless. The flavorizer bar is a thinner gauge than the ones in my Genesis. The bottom heat deflector is also thin and possibly a different stainless. Not sure though.Nice! Are all the internal parts stainless steel? Also, I want to know if ash builds up on the bottom shelf between the legs of the Searwood.
Got it on Weber.com. One morning it became available to add to cart and I did.Where did you get it? I haven’t seen any retailer around here it in stock.
Check Home Depot there are 2 in stock at my store gonna swing by today see if they have one on the floor. If I wanted one delivered there are 54 available this is in my area of course.Where did you get it? I haven’t seen any retailer around here it in stock.
I am watching. I did think that it was an improvement to cast the holders for the flavorizer bar right into the aluminum. A lot better than the holders on the SmokeFIre that I have heard are prone to rust failure. It sure is a beauty,
Due to some of the parts being on the thinner gauge side I’m not sold yet, looking forward to real life cooks.
Currently hoping to keep my SmokeFire going another couple of summers.
Haha. Oh it fits just fine.Build it in the house they said!!!!!
Doesn't fit through the door to get it out!!!!!!!
Holdout for the LSG!It sure is a beauty,

At least you got to see one in person. Way out of my price range, but I still like some things about it.OK...the dogs food supply is restocked. Fromm of assorted varieties...saw the new Weber Summit...a nice grill but nowhere near $4000 nice. In fact, the guys working there were trying to fix the flopping left shelf.View attachment 88830
