Well there was the right way and everything else :D Being an actual GM tech I did it the way GM showed in the tech pubs. But water under the bridge now. I have not even seen a carb in close to 30 years
As an indie I didn't have the benefit of much OEM training but managed to do quite well for 35 years, finding remedies that worked. That and working on most anything that rolled through the doors made for an interesting career:) Closed my shop in May of 2022 and don't miss much except for the real challenging jobs. Keeping diagnostic equipment and tooling up to date made it pretty hard to turn a decent profit, even after we quit working on European cars, so it was nice to go back to getting a paycheck every 2 weeks until retiring:)
