The BC is here, time for a crock pot roast

The BIG CHILL is here!
Our temps dropped from 63 at 1:00 AM yesterday, down to the mid 30's through the day, along with stiff winds from the north.
As much as I love winter grilling, I need to get acclimated first, so it was time to crock pot a 2+ pound chuck roast.

Browned on the grill.

Carrots, red potatoes, onions, and a can of beef broth:

A sprinkle of Au Jus mix, and pats of butter on the chuck:

Gravy made with the juices.

A hearty meal on a cold night.

Thanks for viewing and stay warm!

Bob, I like that nice and simple plus oh so good! Keep warm it's only going to get worse.

Good, warm comfort food at it's best! Big chill here this morning as well! I'm thinking a big pot of stew tonight.

Looks great Bob got to try that Au Jus idea. Just did a pot roast two days ago on the stove top because it was to cold to do it outside, just about got down to 59*:p

Hey Bob, does the crock pot this early mean that we should settle in for another nasty winter like we had last year? Great plate to warm up with!

I'd eet this ▼ right now! Looks GREAT!

up in these parts, we tend to laugh at the cold weather, the crappy snow and the blowing winds...

after a few months of it tho', we tend to start crying and PRAY it ends sooner than March.

This was as i was putting some ribs on the 22.5"wsm.

Now get out there and bbq something! Lol! Great lookin cook!
