The BIG CHILL is here!
Our temps dropped from 63 at 1:00 AM yesterday, down to the mid 30's through the day, along with stiff winds from the north.
As much as I love winter grilling, I need to get acclimated first, so it was time to crock pot a 2+ pound chuck roast.
Browned on the grill.
Carrots, red potatoes, onions, and a can of beef broth:
A sprinkle of Au Jus mix, and pats of butter on the chuck:
Gravy made with the juices.
A hearty meal on a cold night.
