Teriyaki Wings and a ski lesson

Soaked 22 wings in Teriyaki sauce with added ginger, hab sauce, garlic, pepper......and dried jalapenos for ~3 hours. Threw them on the grill with some Jack Daniels chips. 20 minutes, flip, 6 minutes, then maybe 3 more after a touch direct.

The pictures don't do these justice - they sure were pretty!

Instead of tossing in the thickened sauce I served that on the side.

Took my work buddy up night skiing for another lesson - he's finally got it :) I took him up 3 times the year before last, this is the first time for him this year & I think he's finally got it :)

I've wanted to learn to ski backwards but haven't practiced much........yesterday I was carving backwards with a little confidence. Maybe I'll dare to try more tricks in the air, besides my typical "rolling up the windows" or "cat out the window".

Wings look very tasty Clint , Vid works for me.
Get your buddy to plant his poles before his turns and he's will be ripping it up soon.

Wings look (surprise surprise) great, Cliff! The videos make me sea-sick...:(
I'll stick to the grilling.

Good advice :)

This is the 3rd-4th time I've taken him, he's new :)

~250 resort days as an adult <since 2008/09>(probably >50 backcountry but not much BC over the last couple years - I miss it) and I'm finally figuring out what to do with my poles. I have friends who go a lot bigger than me say they couldn't ski without their poles..... not me. I use them to poke/probe/skim/gauge..only now am I starting to use them when I turn.... and my turns..... I'm mostly steeps/bumps/deeps/trees. (I'm not awesome but it's a great way to spend time)

I just tell him to hold them up like a boxer, or once I told him to pretend he was driving a bus with a big steering wheel. Mostly we just BS'd, I practiced skiing backwards (I made some serious headway!), and just tried to keep it "easy" and fun. You know how it is - when you feel strong you push the edge...if you're not doing OK and not feeling strong...... you (I) back off. He kept pushing it :)

The wingman strikes again! Awesome looking wings Clint... as always. Tried snow skiing in my younger days and found out that gravity was not my friend and trees really liked me.

Very pretty wings, Clint.

And it looks like your friend is getting the hang of it.

Wings look fly away guud. Have lived in CO all my life, never been skiing though. I'm too old now.
