Taco night and a super moon

First, an impulse buy. Stuffed crabs sounded good. I suggested, my 5 year old agreed. So I purchased this little sale item.

Here they are, chilling indirect at about 425, almost done:

Earlier, I made a little bit of a paste using Weber's mango-lime seasoning, along with some cumin, chili powder and a little S&P. Then I added some Canola to bring it all together. Chicken got about a two hour soak, and the shrimp got an hour. Here's the chicken almost done:

And the shrimp getting happy in the grill pan:

Finally plated up and ready to eat:

A little later, while I finished my wine, I went out to the deck to admire the Supermoon:

I hope you had a good weekend and the howling was kept at a minimum.

great pics, especially the color on that chicken....and the moon, and the stuffed shells :)

Thanks for the kind words. The crab was as I expected it would be - just OK. But it satisfied an impulse. It had good flavor, but a lot of "filler", which I believe was in the form of bread crumbs. The pack was on sale for $4.99, so what do you expect, right?
