Sunday Dinner is Crispy Chicken with Acorn Squash

Started out with chicken ingredients. Milk for dipping and the coated in corn meal, flour, grated parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic salt and pepper. Place on rack and brush with melted butter. On kettle gasser for 40 – 50 minutes.

Then on to my side of acorn squash with brown butter garlic. Started with butter, brown sugar, minced garlic, kosher salt, pepper and nutmeg in small sauce pan. Cooked over medium high heat for 2 -3 minutes, then cool to room temperature and add cider vinegar. Will baste occasionally during the 40 – 50 minutes until done. Had some corn that needed to be cook, so put it on and will be making my corn salsa with that later.

Plated with salad and everything was delicious. Great crispy chicken and butter garlic squash spot on.

Great cook Barb, have to try that chicken for sure, and have become quite fond of bbq'ed squash lately.

Nice Job, I love how you took the breading approach for fried chicken and then roasted it. Great idea!
