Some cooks from the past week

Been a busy week here, Barb had her bunco group over Thursday so on Tuesday she made her first pepper stout beef, she made 4 pounds of it and did real well. Also made up a load of abts and apple root beer beans.
I made some Canadian Bacon along with some of my homemade V8 chili soup Saturday and of course had to make some bread to go along with the soup.
I’ve been playing around with a blond sourdough bread recipe I made up for some easy bread that can be made with two proofs in under five hours using my sourdough starter.
I think I’ve got it nailed now, this last loaf came out perfect, nice blond crust with a great crumb and sourdough taste. Total time about 4:45 from start to finish
We also got a load of Brussel sprouts from Trader Joes to freeze and blanched those that killed an afternoon. The food saver got a real work out this week.
Here’s a few pictures of the weeks work.

Enjoy your Sunday and have a great week

Looks like it was a fantastic week for outdoor cooking at your home.
Can't pick a favorite - it all looks great!

Wow that is some week of awesome food! Looks like the Dahl's are eating pretty high on the hog... and cow... and vegetable garden...

Regards,

John

Tasty looking cooks!

I need to get back into making bread again. Made some pretzel rolls the other night. They were tasty, but the yeast was on its last legs.
