Skillet Apple Pie

I've made this in the oven several times but never on the gas grill until last night. It worked fine.

It's optional and would help cool the thermonuclear hot brown sugar/butter mixture under the bottom crust. But it's a really sweet apple pie, not sure I could handle more sweet on top of sweet. The original recipe serves it with a cinnamon whipped cream, that might be good.

Whipped cream or ice cream, I'll take either - looks perfect.

Chris, you've been on a roll! Not sure I've seen this method with the "caramel" sauce underneath. Very interesting..... Looks downright tasty!

Looks great Chris. Barb and I use our E320 NG for an oven during the summer to keep the heat out of the house. Haven't found anything so far that gets baked in an oven that we can't do on the gasser.
