Scalloped Potatoes, Ham and Cheese

Thought I'd give my long suffering wife a brief reprieve from spicy fare and treat her to some comfort food.

Made a gravy with butter, flour, salt, thyme.
Moved to the side burner on the gasser to speed things up... mixed in 3 cups of milk. Brought it to a boil, cooked & stirred for several minutes more.

Greased the pan, put down a layer of potatoes, onions, ham and cheese.

Had to add some fuel about an hour into the cook.

Let it go another 20 minutes and cooked uncovered for another 15.

Well, that's it this year for the comfort food! Back to the spicy stuff. :) Joking of course Mrs. Robert. Looks delicious. Dishes like that are one of our favorites.
