I've had this in the back of my head for awhile now.
Take a butt that's sliced into steaks, sprinkle a little rub between each, tie it up, and proceed to make pulled pork.
This one was missing a coupe of steaks from a prior cook. (don't make fun of my tie job!)
Added a 1.7 lb. rinsed/soaked corn beef flat seasoned with garlic powder and pepper.
A mix of Kb & Coshell charcoal, apple and hickory for smoke.
Peeking in after about 3 hrs.
Cabbage with minced garlic, garlic olive oil, butter, salt and pepper.
CB finished in about 6 hours, pork in 7.
When I pulled apart the steaks, they were an unattractive gray on the sides, it did pull, but was drier than usual.
Nothing that some sauce wouldn't fix. (cabbage was a bit crunchy)
At least it's off my 'to try' list.
The CB was nice and moist.
Oh, and the sauce was KCMP's 35 year anniversary edition. Pretty darn good stuff!

It was a beautiful evening to sit out with some bourbon and a big yellow dog for companions.
Today's lunch, corned beef with horseradish cheese and spicy brown mustard sided with pintos and cheese.
Thanks for stopping by on this fine spring day here in Missouri!
