Not really ruffing it, but our new popup trailer trip was a blast. Pic heavy.

Fish of the week caught by my friend Bill.

Nothing beat this trout all week as we caught a bunch of 10 -12" trout all let go to live another day.
I couldn't believe how many people kept 6" trout and cleaned them, I know the pan size ones taste great but come on.

More to come.

Round Two..

Next night we cooked baby back ribs using the iKEA SS pots and pan rack.

Finger food tonight with corn on the cob, i still boil my corn...with raw sugar for some sweet flavor.

Beautiful mountains. Did you do the gas line mod for your Q grill?

Some friends got a trailer like yours (a notch or 2 down I believe - yours looks really nice) ~6 years ago. One thing that sold them on it was the higher clearance allowed by the wheel position - the axle isn't sucked into the trailer like a lot of them are, making them seem to get high centered much more easily. Yours is much more of an adventure camper than many others that look like it. That's what my friends said anyway :)

Very cool! Good job and glad you like the camper!!

Thanks very much for your help Phil, much appreciated.

K, on to the Rib roast.

Stater Bros. had rib roasts on sale for $4.99 a pound, so I picked up a 3 bone roast weighing 8 plus pounds.

EVOO, Kosher salt and course black pepper.

The 25 minute sear on the QGrill..

Then onto the rotisserie on the Weber 22.5"

We had it all, smoke from many fires in the area, thunderstorms, high winds etc.

Next up beer can chicken, trout and bean dip.

Excellent photos Jeff, keep them coming. I was pretty young the last time I went to June lake, an enjoyable trip down memory road. Some excellent eats you got going. That roast....Oh My!

Boy do those pictures bring back a lot of great memories. We always stayed at CVR ( cardinal village resort ) up by north lake. Or if camping we stayed at Browns in Bishop with our trailer.
Schat's bakery was a must stop the first morning for some cinnamon rolls, best in the world.
Been about 12-13 years since I've been there. We did mostly fly fishing in Bishop creek.
Thanks so much for sharing your trip.

Awesome pics and like Rich said it brought back lots of great memories. All the cooks look fantastic and from the looks of the pics everyone had a fantastic time.

Clint

I did do the gas line and Brinkmann regulator mod on the Q grill, and took off the worthless side shelfs.
Great grill for direct cooking, I wish Weber would make a small BBQ that you could do indirect cooking on. I only use the Q grill for tailgating or trips like this, as you have to take everything apart to clean it.

Inverted Vortex Beer can chicken....

Stuffed the beer can with rosemary and garlic cloves.
