Nobody Using Q Grills?

I bought my Q-1000 about 5 years ago new for $129 shipped and no sales tax on some sort of sale from a marine supplier. I didn't need it but thought of camp grilling or local picnics. Thing is our last trip was 2019, didn't bring it. Covid screwed up everything in my world view so I started thinking this might be a great open porch grill to use as a burner for a skillet (scallops, for example) to keep smoky cooking out of the house, especially during winter. That said, it's still a virgin but I am determined to try it this year. I feel with our large, covered but open side porch, this could be just the ticket for grilling in inclement weather. I've got two suitable tables to set it on and have good clearance from the three house walls and plenty of clearance above with about a nine foot ceiling and the porch is a good 12' wide with one side open towards the driveway. It has been stowed in the garage all these years but I am determined to use it this year. Heck, I've got 10+ Coleman disposable tanks and two 20# tanks for an adapter hose when needed.

I agree. Get that Q going. I do 80% of my grilling on a Q220. Aside from being on the back deck right off the kitchen which makes it super convenient, I just don't need a full size grill very often for quick 1-2 person cooks which is what I do most of the time.

Don't know anything about these little guys but this one looks like pretty good deal for 20 bucks. Doesn't look like it has excessive wear or weathering.

The only thing that I noticed that I don't like on some of them is no thermostat but maybe there is one that I'm not aware of

No thermostat, but it does have a lid thermometer. They are awesome grills Josh and $20 is an awesome deal. I will say that you probably won't make a whole lot on a rehab/flip, but I will grab them and "clean them up" and give them away to friends or charities.

Or use it myself. Probably not a bad idea.

Any kind of thermostat or lid thermometer would be fine with me as long as I can know the temperature of the grill

That is an absolute steal at that price and in that condition! Looks to be a few years older, based on logo on handle/lid.

I paid $100 for a lightly used Q100 last week. Cooked some Angus burgers on ours last night. Works great for 2 people.
