New Weber pellet grills for 2020

I am really excited to pick up an EX6,
I have a couple kettles a WSM and a q-300. I prefer cooking meat with charcoal and do all my veggies in the Q. I have to say with kids and a busy schedule I think a pellet grill is going to fit in nicely.
I have struggled on all night cooks on the WSM, mostly my own fault but I love the idea of cooking a brisket all night and actually sleeping.
I’m a BBQ geek at this point might has well take it up a notch.

If Meathead is reviewing the Weber smokefire on Monday, maybe it means that Weber will be formally announcing the grill on Monday.

I never thought I'd ever entertain the thought of getting a pellet grill, but..
1- My oldest son has one and absolutely loves it.
2- As I've aged, the thrill of the grill has diminished a lot when it's cold or hot outside, and no disrespect intended, I'm not into gas.
3- Bags of charcoal weigh much more than they used to.
4- If the Weber pellet grill turns out to be a winner, then I might be very interested.
5- I will never part with my Performer!!

Ace Hardware has a large price drop on the Genesis II gasser. I normally don't pay attention to gassers, is this normal for this time of year or could it be linked to the intro of these pellet grills ? Have them marked down to $699.

Does make you wonder if they are trying to make some room for the pellet grill. There are people around me trying to get that much for a used one of those. I think I would rather have the smaller three burner with the extra sear burner, but that is a really good price.

You took the words right out of my mouth Bob.
The only reason I'm into gas is because of the fire restrictions in the summer, it's my only choice.

I truly miss the smoke flavor that only a charcoal or pellet grill can provide. I can get some smoke flavor on my gassers, but it's just not the same.

Lugging the propane tanks over to Costco to be refilled is getting old also, so my go to grill is my NG E320, which we use 90% of the time.

Tonight we are grilling a ribeye and that will be on the performer, as it should be, with a nice hint of smoke.

If the Weber pellet grill pans out my herd of eight grills will go down to four, the performer, the NG E320, my genesis 2000 that I bought new in 1998 and the silver kettle with the Weber gas conversion, the best whole chicken cooker on the planet.

Or that gasser sales are waayyy off. Reason I asked if this was normal for this time of year or maybe they're over stocked due to losing sales to pellet poopers.

I'm thinking about selling the 26 Kettle I bought a few months ago and putting that money into a pellet pooper. The pellet grill will do everything I want the 26 for and more. And I'm curious about pellet smoking.

I'll keep my stick burner and my 22 Kettle. Have no idea what I will do with the 18 WSM. But this pellet pooper would clear space on my patio.

Went to Safeway market the other day and they had smoking pellets stacked up in front of the store by one of the entrances. There most have been over a hundred bags. Same thing at Wal mart, where the charcoal used to be they had bags of pellets. Even had some in the grocery dept. by the meat section.
I too will be glad to get more details straight from Weber, also hope they do an early release instead of waiting till 2020.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire!

Things are heating up on this new grill. We should have a lot more to chew on by next week:coolkettle:!
