The house my daughter and hubby are having built in Colorado is about finished, they'll be moved out there in a week or so.
We invited them and son and daughter-in-law for dinner yesterday since daughter and family won't be here for the upcoming holidays.
Started my cook on the 14" with beef ribs rubbed with Oakridge Black Ops using K-pro, pecan and maple wood.
After 3.5 hours I added a tri tip rubbed with Oakridge Santa Maria.
When it hit 120 I moved it to the kettle for searing.
Finished up with Wicker's marinaded chicken breasts and Texas sausage.
I had told my son-in-law the tri tip was for him, so he tried to take me for my word.
Grabbed a shot of daughter's plate.
It was a great but bittersweet evening, gonna miss them terribly, but with another son and family in CO we will get to see them all when we visit, and they will visit here a few times a year too.
