We had one more holiday/birthday get together earlier this week. I contributed with some bread and a nice Costco Tri Tip. Here's a few pic's.

About 2 1/2 pounds each.

Marinated them both for around 8 hours in lemon juice, olive oil, dark brown sugar, soy sauce, k salt, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, minced garlic, chili powder, and scallions.

Baked the bread during the day.

The roast. Decided to only cook one. Vac sealed the other for later.

Thanks for looking. Hope you're all having a good start to the New Year.

Gorgeous Tri-Tip! & bread! I need to try some marinades with my TT... that looks so good. Love the bread - def a skill you have worked very hard to master.

Yummy looking tri-tip !
Wife & I are current in tri-tip country. Headed south tomorrow for some Spencer at Jocko's.

Thanks everyone!

Headed south tomorrow for some Spencer at Jocko's.

There's a name I used to hear quite a bit when I lived in the Bay Area, but have hardly heard about or seen it in quite a few years. At least up on this end of the state. I believe a rib eye is pretty similar to a Spencer. Have fun at Jocko's.

Santa Maria tri tip and then Jocko's Bob Bass...

Cliff those Prime tri tips look awesome, I always buy the Rack of Lamb, and Salmon from Costco, have to check out the Prime tri tip next time.
Beautiful cook and bread.

Very nice TT Cliff, cooked to perfection. I won't repeat myself about that great bread. Really want to make some but with living with Nanook of the north (Barb) who likes to keep the house in the low 60s in the daytime and 50 at night I can't keep my starter going so I'll have to wait till spring.

Build yourself a Proofing Box Rich. It's been in the high 20's low 30's here. We also keep a cold house at night. My proofing box holds a constant 73 all night long.

That's a great idea Cliff. I remember seeing one made out of a small cooler. I'll definitely look into it.
