Nice throwback pic. Back in the day, Oly and Coors ruled, at least in my town. I was an Oly guy.

Lots of fun was had, went to jail a few times for stupid things, like when an older cop got me for a open container on Hotel property, as i argued with him he said if you say one more word your going to jail.
What did i say....."word", the young cop was laughing but the old cop handcuffed me and took me to jail. No charges were filed and they let me out in the morning.
Looks like i have the coals just right.
I still go to Palm Springs as one of my High School buddy's parents have a home there.
Cliff i still drink coors gold.
I guess my buddy is going through some old pictures because this is what he sent me today.

Me in '83.
Not on a Weber, and my hair and 'stache were never red.
That grill in the background, a Sunbeam maybe? lasted for many, many years.
The Weber knockoff didn't.
Divorced early that year, I was cooking for my girlfriend, now my wife of 31 years.
My grilling skills weren't so great back then, so she didn't marry me for those.
Oh, and I still have the red handled tongs, probably not the shirt though, but maybe.

My High School buddy just sent me this laughable pic of me Barbecuing a steak ( if you call that a BBQ and steak) during Spring Break Palm Springs ...year unknown but in the late 1970's.

Until the wide mouth beer Patton expired and could be used by all beer companies, i think the push button Coors cans were great.

But while you are here, can you or anybody identify this Weber Grill that is still at my buddy's place in Palm Springs?
It has what i think is a smoker/stacker ring between the body and the lid.
